All that Jazz

2018 fand „All that Jazz“ in der Schlossberghalle Starnberg das letzte Mal statt. Zu erleben waren Spitzenmusiker aus Deutschland und Europa. In diesen Gruppen sind häufig auch hervorragende und hochtalentierte Nachwuchsmusiker zu finden, so dass auch Nachwuchsförderung auf diesem Wege stattfand. Außer dem Jazz im engeren Sinne wurde auch Jazzverwandtes wie Weltmusik, Crossover-Musik mit klassischen und Popelementen, moderne Variationen von Jazz in neue stilistische Musikbereiche einbezogen.

Die Veranstalter der neuen Jazzreihe „All that Jazz“ sind seit 36 Jahren in den Bereichen Klassik und Jazz professionell in München und anderen Orten tätig. 1980 wurde die Firma LOFT music gegründet. Sie hat den Münchner Klaviersommer gegründet und durchgeführt, der von 1981 bis 2006 (26 Jahre) lief. Künstler wie Friedrich Gulda, Martha Argerich, Ivo Pogorelich, Svjatoslav Richter, u.v.a. aus der Klassik- sowie Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Stan Getz u.v.a. aus der Jazzszene haben den Klaviersommer geprägt.

Die Jazzreihe wird mit „Jazz im Park“ und „Jazz im Kino“ weiter geführt.
